We keep it simple here! We only have two categories- Associates and Builders.

• Associate members may be a person, firm, or corporation licensed to do business or any person or entity offering professional services of any kind to the building industry, such as architectural, real estate brokerage, engineering, electrical, plumbing, marketing, design, financial services, etc., or any form of business that benefits/serves the industry.
• Builder members are any individual, firm, or corporation that the State of Florida licenses to do business as a general building contractor, an owner-builder, land developer, or project developer.

When a company joins NEFBA, the entire company and all its employees become members of the association. We encourage everyone on your team to get involved; it's the best way to maximize the value of your NEFBA membership. Only the primary company contact is listed in our online directory by default. However, additional employees can be added by joining NEFBA as Affiliate Members.

Both the primary member and any affiliates also receive complimentary memberships with the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), expanding your access to industry resources, advocacy, and networking on the state and national levels.

Affiliate Membership is available to employees of companies that are active members of NEFBA. This membership includes a personal listing in NEFBA's online directory. Affiliate members also receive a subscription to BUILDER NEWS, NEFBA's official publication. To qualify for an Affiliate Membership, your company must maintain an active NEFBA membership. Affiliate members also get access to NAHB and FHBA benefits.

You've joined, now it's time to decide what to get involved in. At NEFBA, we have 14 councils and committees that support various aspects of the industry. Some of our councils are an additional fee for an individual membership (not a company), these include Professional Women in Building (PWB), Custom Builders and Remodelers Council (CBRC), Sales and Marketing Council (SMC), and Young Professional Group (YPG).

Once a company joins, any individual can purchase council membership. Again, these are individual memberships, and they do not apply to the whole company.

Prices are:

• Professional Women in Building: $75 annually
• Custom Builders and Remodelers: $75 annually
• Sales and Marketing: $120 annually
• Young Professional Group: $100 if you are NOT the primary account holder for the company (most common), $35 if you are the primary on the account.

There is no charge to join other councils, committees, or divisions, and almost all meetings and events are open to all NEFBA members. We encourage you to attend events and stay actively involved. Feel free to reach out to membership@nefba.com if you have specific questions!

Once your membership becomes inactive, you cannot renew online. Please email the Membership Director for assistance at membership@nefba.com or call (904) 725-4355.

As a prospective member, you are encouraged to attend 1-2 events before officially joining. We want to make sure we're a good fit for you! Non-members cannot advertise or sponsor any of our events; that opportunity is only open to members.

If any information on the company profile changes, such as personnel changes or contact information, it must be emailed to the membership. Members cannot make edits to their profile through their portal. Please send any changes to membership@nefba.com.

Whether you're a new or existing member, you will go through the same process. To access your member profile, you'll first need to create an account, which can be done under the contact tab from our main menu. NEFBA does not store usernames or passwords to member logins. If you forget your password or username, there is a "forgot" button. Otherwise, you'll need to create an account. If you're still having trouble, please get in touch with membership@nefba.com.

There are two different ways to register! One way is to login to your online portal and view the upcoming events through there. Alternatively, you can visit our website's calendar and select the event you'd like to attend. That will take you to the event page, where you should find the "register for event" button in grey if registration is open.

That page will also show you all the details for that event, including a flyer if there is one, and the time, date, and location.

NEFBA doesn't keep all the money you pay for dues!
